Temperature in Antarctica exceeds 20 degrees

The temperature in Antarctica broke all records and exceeded 20 degrees last Sunday.

According to scientists, the 20.75 degrees recorded on the island of Seymour is an “incredible and abnormal” phenomenon.
This information comes practically a week after knowing that, on February 6, Argentine Antarctica experienced the warmest day since there are meteorological records in the region, with the thermometers reaching 18.3 degrees.

Temperature will rise by 3.2 degrees, even if the Paris Agreement’s reduction commitments will be fulfilled, warns the UN.

The United Nations Environment Program annual report on carbon emissions compares the actual reductions with those needed to “fight” against global warming.

The data will be analyzed at the Climate Summit that is to be held in Madrid between December 2nd and the 13th.
