A passenger plane from Ariana Afghan Airlines crashed today in Deh Yak, district of Ghazni province, Afghanistan. “At about 1:10 (08:40 GMT) a plane crashed in Deh Yak, a district in Ghazni province.

The plane is on fire and the local population is trying to put out the fire, ”a spokesman for the governor of Ghazni told AFP.

Two missiles were launched against Ukraine International Airlines’ Boeing 737 shot down on January 8 by the Iranian armed forces.

“The investigators […] accessed the information and found that two M1-TOR missiles […] were fired at the plane,” pointed out a preliminary investigation report by the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization (CAO).
“The effect on the accident and the analysis of this action are under investigation”, according to the document.
