Eurozone unemployment has remained at its lowest level since 2008

Last November, the unemployment rate in the Eurozone remained at 7.5%, the lowest since July 2008, while in the European Union it also remained unchanged at 6.3%.

Eurostat data show that the unemployment rate did not change in the chain comparison – November 2019 compared to October 2019 -, but the figures represent decreases of four and three tenths, respectively, in the year-on-year comparison.

The lowest unemployment rates were recorded in the Czech Republic (2.2%), Germany (3.1%) and Poland (3.2%), while the highest were observed in Greece (16.8%) and Spain (14.1%).
