Coronavirus has caused more than 10 300 deaths worldwide

More than 324 290 cases of infection were detected in 171 countries and territories

The new coronavirus has already caused at least 14,396 deaths worldwide, after ir was first identified in December, according to the latest report by the France-Press agency.

Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, more than 324,290 cases of infection have been detected in 171 countries and territories.

These data reflect a fraction of the actual number of contaminations, as many countries are only testing cases that require hospitalization.

Regarding the balance sheet of the previous day, 1,671 new deaths and 32,869 new cases were identified worldwide.

The countries that had the highest number of fatalities in the past 24 hours were Italy (651), Spain (394) and Iran (129).
