At stake is the time that smokers spend on breaks during working hours.
A logistics company in Swindon, has taken an unconventional step, rewarding employees who do not smoke at work with four extra days of vacation.
At stake is the time that smokers spend on breaks, absent from work several times a day.
According to the director of the company, the measure was well accepted and if it motivates someone to stop smoking, these people will be rewarded.
“They wondered if I would give someone who doesn’t smoke for three months a break, I said ‘of course’. And if you can keep it for six months, I give you two days. I want to make sure that people who are sitting at work while others are on a smoking break receive any form of compensation, ” he said.
